Central Dalmatia Beaches Guide

1. Trogir and Ciovo island

If you are coming by plane to Split, the nearest Dalmatia beaches are only 4 miles from the airport located on the Trogir Riviera and Ciovo island

There you will find great pebble beaches with facilities and fun activities suitable for all types of beach lovers.

2. Split town beaches

You'll find just enough beaches in Split for an all-day stay. I recommend Bavvice public beach to sand lovers. It's just a 10-minute walk from the city's center, while those of you who prefer some solitude and shade can head to beaches near Marjan.

3. Omis district beaches

The Omis Riviera, named after the city Omis, is more than 20 kilometers long. It's only 30 km south of Split town.

4. Makarska Riviera beaches

Only 80 km south of Split, this riviera offers, according to many, the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic coast.

Makarska Riviera boasts over 60 kilometers of indented coast with beaches on almost every step.

Most beaches are pebble beaches and are popular among families with children, while a bit more isolated beaches, like the world-famous Nugal beach, are popular among nudists.

Split islands beaches guide

1. Brac island beaches

On the island of Brac, you can find pebble and rocky beaches, but you can find a sand beach as well. The island is full of bigger and smaller bays, so you'll find the one for yourself no matter on which side of the island you're on.

Brac beaches are all the most charming thanks to the wild Mediterranean nature and clear blue sea.

2. Hvar island beaches

The island of Hvar is a well-known party destination, as well as a celebrity destination. But this island is abundant with beautiful pebble and sand beaches that will delight its visitors.

Pebble and sand beaches on the north side of the island are great for families with children, while adventure seekers will enjoy the beaches on the south side.

3. Vis island beaches

Vis island is the outermost Dalmatian island. This island of almost untouched nature boasts one of the world's most beautiful beaches – Stiniva beach.
