Dalmatian coast cycling itinerary

Day 1

The tour will start from the seaside town Kastel Kambelovac, 10 kilometers from Split. You will be accommodated in a seafront hotel, ideally located with great views over the bay and easy reach from the Split airport.

Day 2

The second day will start cycling 16 km to Split town. After spending the morning exploring this beautiful town you will proceed to Split ferry harbor. From there you will board the ferry to Stari Grad on the beautiful island of Hvar.

Day 3

The third day will be a full day to explore more of this beautiful island by bike. The day starts with a long ascent up to the highest point of the island, cycling past the lavender fields. On this rather challenging route, you will enjoy far-reaching views across the island.   

The total cycling distance today is approximately 32 kilometers with an additional 32 kilometer) if you chose to cycle back from Hvar. 

You will pass through the village of Brusje, villages of Malo Grabjle and Veliko Grablje, run into one short, steep climb and beautiful scenery.

In the afternoon on this Dalmatian coast cycling tour, you can decide to cycle back to Jelsa town on a different route on a quiet paved road.

Day 4

On the morning of the fourth day, you will return to Stari Grad and board a catamaran to head to the island of Korcula.

A gorgeous blend of red terracotta roofs, stone cathedrals, and marble streets, the old Venetian town of Korcula town is a photographer's dream.

This day will start with a leisurely cycle along the coast to Lombarda, where you'll spend the next two nights. It will be a relaxing Dalmatia coast cycling adventure, visiting Lombarda, famous for its sandy beaches, dramatic coastal views, and vineyards.

It's a chance for a swim and wine tasting at a local winery where you'll have an opportunity to sample the famous Korcula, Grk, white wine. Your total cycling distance today is approximately 13 kilometers.

Day 5

A full day's cycling tour of the island of Korcula will give you the possibility to explore the elegance of rural Korcula, as you will slowly make your way across the island to the small town of Cara, one of the oldest settlements on the island.

After lunch, the cycling will lead you through the fertile landscape, through vineyards with sweeping coastal views, past the terracotta roofs of Pupnat, the most miniature village on the island, before taking the road which takes you back to Lumbarda.

The total cycling distance today is approximately 62 kilometers.

Day 6

Next morning the group will take a ferry for a short crossing from Korcula town to Orebić (Pelješac peninsula). From there, you will start pedaling to Postup.

A route along the coast allows you to cycle through a landscape covered with rich vineyards of Plavac Mali grapes – local specialty, Plavac red wine. The end of the ride will finish in secluded and beautiful Zuljana beach.

From here, you will take a bus to reach Dubrovnik on this Dalmatian coast cycling tour. The total cycling distance today is approximately 27 kilometers.

Day 7

This morning you have the option for a final ride or relax in Dubrovnik. If you choose to cycle, the route takes you through the beautiful Dalmatian countryside, heading towards Cavtat town.

You will have a drink break in an idyllic village on the banks of the river Ljuta, before making your way through the valley to Cavtat, where finishes the last ride. On the way back to Dubrovnik, the afternoon is free to enjoy the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic.'

Day 8

The trip ends after breakfast at your hotel in Dubrovnik. There are no activities planned today, so you are free to depart from Dubrovnik at any time.
